Pug Adoption Contract: Our Shared Promise

This agreement represents the mutual commitment between us—the Breeder—and you, the New Owner, to protect the lifelong health and happiness of your Pug puppy.

🌟 Your Commitments

By welcoming this Pug into your home, you agree to:

Financial Responsibility: Cover the full adoption fee plus any transportation costs.

Safe & Supervised Home: Provide a secure environment. Your Pug must never be left unsupervised outdoors—their flat face makes them vulnerable to overheating and stress.

Lifetime Guardianship: Commit to your Pug's entire life—typically 13 to 15 years. This means nutritious food, fresh water, regular veterinary care, wrinkle cleaning, and plenty of lap time.

Heat & Exercise Awareness: Understand that Pugs are brachycephalic and cannot tolerate excessive heat or overexertion. You agree to provide cool, shaded spaces and moderate exercise.

Future Conduct: Acknowledge that while we certify your Pug's temperament today, we cannot be responsible for future behaviors once your Pug is in your care.

Wellness Updates: Allow us to check in occasionally—by text or photo—to see your Pug thriving in their new home.

🏆 Our Promises to You

As your Breeder, we guarantee:

Health & Registration: Your Pug is healthy and comes with official AKC registration documents.

Temperament Certification: Your puppy shows a stable, confident, and affectionate Pug disposition.

Complete Medical Records: You receive a full history of all vaccines, deworming, and health screenings.

Health Testing Transparency: Both parents have undergone OFA evaluations for hips and patellas, plus BOAS screening for clear breathing.

🩺 Health Verification

Vet Examination: You must schedule a wellness check with a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of arrival.

Health Guarantee: If that exam reveals a life-threatening congenital condition clearly present before adoption, you may return your Pug for a full refund of the adoption fee. We also cover return transport costs.

🔄 Ownership & Return Policy

30-Day Adjustment Period: If within the first 30 days you genuinely cannot bond with your Pug, return them for a full refund—no questions asked.

Lifetime First Right of Return: If at any point in your Pug's life you cannot keep them, you must contact us first. We will always take them back and find a loving, vetted home. They are never to be rehomed without our consent.

No Shelter or Store Surrender: Your Pug must never be given to a shelter, humane society, pet store, research facility, or any third party without our written permission.

Ownership Transfer: You may not transfer ownership to another person without our prior written consent.
